JENS LAMPRECHT
actor, photographer, autor, based in Berlin, Germany
The coziest place in the room for Jens is his bed. In the morning he writes his diary laying in bed and drinking coffee.
Books Jens wants to read but hasn’t done it yet. Every book was advised by somebody whose opinion Jens appreciates.
When I asked about a favorite cup, Jens answered with a question: “Why is it important?” He doesn't have a certain favorite cup but for different drinks he prefers different ones.
However, this ceramic teapot given to Jens by his mother is really precious to him. The teapot is standing on a warmer Jens made by himself.
This knife is a present of Jens’ uncle. He made it himself. Jens takes the knife on journeys, especially to the mountains. This thing is very important to him and he would definitely put it in his bug-out bag.
This photo is a gift from Jens’ ex-girlfriend. They had a trip to the Alps. They look in different directions just for fun, for a good composition. After a while they reenacted this photo in Caucasus Mountings, Georgia. And soon they broke up.

“Favorite clothing? Can the ring be considered clothing?” This ring was given to Jens by a close friend on his 18th Birthday. He had a similar ring before but it broke. So she gave him a new one. They are still friends. Jens is her Trauzeuge* now (*marriage witness).
What creates comfort in the room? A warm blanket, a body lotion...
...and kimono. Jens would always wear his girlfriend's kimono, so she got him his own. He still loves to wear it. Especially in bed in the morning.
There is some stuff that helps Jens to develop personally and professionally: a notebook, stickers, a yoga mat, a metal travel bottle, a book The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron.
And camera. “The camera is an option to start anew, document life in any country, capture what is around even without knowning the language and get in contact with each other”.
In the first days of the all-out war, Jens was constantly watching the news. He stopped all his creative projects. Volunteering and participating in demonstrations were the only things that helped him feel calmer. Today, he came back to work but still helps whenever possible with feeling that he doesn’t do enough.
How was it for him to pack his bug-out bag? “I remembered my life, who was important and what was important for me…I'm afraid because this was a game for me but it's not for you for example. I'm afraid this kind of situation is coming”
“I think I would miss a teapot and my photos taken with not a digital camera. Probably, I would take more of them or try to make digital versions”.
“Now I think that I would also take with me some of my plants. At least a leaf or seedling”
